AFX helmets add a definitive reduction to brain injuries while wearing the helmet properly (with chinstrap secured). In some parts of North America, it is not even required to wear one. The chinstrap is very important on your AFX helmet. Without a proper chinstrap, the protection effect of your AFX helmet dwindles substantially. The chinstrap holds the helmet on your head in the correct position should you get into a collision. Always be sure that the chinstrap is snugly secure on your AFX helmet to make sure you are adequately protected.
